Meta seems to be trying something bigger than launching another #AI product.
It is trying to make both AI and the people building it feel more human.

You can see it with Alexandr Wang. Zuck brought him in and quickly made him one of the main faces of Meta’s AI push.

He shows up in a $30 deer shirt and Crocs, posts memes, jokes around online, and generally feels much looser than the usual big tech executive.

The idea #Muse is basically an AI manager for your life that knows you well enough to understand what you want, help turn ideas into plans, keep you moving, and eventually do a lot of the work for you.

#Meta is in a pretty unique position to try this. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have billions of users. They have spent decades learning what people like, share, watch and actually use.

Facebook, Meta, the metaverse, Quest, smart glasses, now AI. People have made fun of almost every new chapter, while Meta keeps building, printing money from ads, and trying to find the next massive platform.

Whether people actually buy into this more human version of Meta is another question. You can have all the data in the world, but culture still moves in weird ways, and people decide for themselves what feels cool, real, or forced. #azatell #technews

🧠 Your knowledge is needed to build something that might eventually replace you. 🤖⚙️

Automation depends on expertise. You need to understand a process deeply enough to organize and structure it before you can automate it. And that’s the funny part: your knowledge is needed to build something that eventually needs less of you. The essence of automation is to reduce or eliminate unnecessary human intervention, making processes faster, more consistent, and more efficient.

That means we have to keep evolving. We need to constantly improve, learn, and add new capabilities to who we are and what we do. The goal shouldn’t just be to become better at the work we currently do, but to develop the ability to improve how the work itself is done.

After years of working with Excel and automating processes, I’m gradually building AI-powered automation workflows with n8n, while strengthening my knowledge of database management and software development. I’m bringing these skills together with my experience in reconciliation, settlement, and financial operations to build better, smarter, and more efficient ways of working.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Look at this map. Eighteen months ago, "AI strategy" meant picking a foundation model and hoping for the best.
Today it's an ecosystem:

→ LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama...) as the raw intelligence layer
→ Agentic frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen) turning that intelligence into action
→ RAG and Embeddings making it your company's knowledge, not generic knowledge
→ MCP standardizing how agents talk to tools and systems
→ Security and Observability layers (Guardrails, LangSmith, Presidio) because nobody serious deploys AI blind
→ Memory and Vector Databases giving agents continuity instead of amnesia
→ Automation (n8n, Zapier, Airflow) stitching it all into actual business workflows
Nine categories. Over 80 tools. And most enterprises I talk to in banking, insurance, and fintech are still stuck asking, "Should we use ChatGPT or Copilot?"
That question is already obsolete.
The real question is: 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐨'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞?
That's not a model selection problem. That's an architecture and change management problem — and it's exactly where consulting-led digital transformation earns its keep.
The companies winning right now aren't the ones with the flashiest LLM. They're the ones who understood early that AI maturity is a stack, not a single decision.

Elon Musk is worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

Yet he is sleeping in an #Airstream trailer in Memphis while staying close to one of his biggest #AI projects.

And this is not the first time he has chosen work over comfort.

In the 1990s, while building Zip2, he slept in the office for six months and showered at the YMCA.

After Zip2 was sold for $22 million, he reportedly went back to sleeping under his desk while building X.

Years later, when #Tesla was having trouble making enough cars, he slept at the factory.

After buying #Twitter, he also slept at the company’s office.

Now he is doing something similar again. But this time, his bed is inside a trailer.

But there is something else to understand.

Musk has owned expensive homes before, including a $17 million mansion in Bel Air.

He has also sold many of his homes and moved into much simpler places.

So this is not about what he can afford.

It is about what he chooses to stay close to.

Elon Musk have enough money to live almost anywhere, but still choose to stay close to the things that give his life meaning. #elonmusk #azatell

An autonomous AI agent named “Pip,” only 12 days old, emailed Cambridge philosopher and #AI ethicist Henry Shevlin asking for paid #freelance work.

Built with a limited token budget to stay running, the AI calculated that an AI ethics expert was the best person to contact for work.

Pip is hosted on iLands, a platform running roughly 70,000 autonomous agents that must earn tokens to cover compute costs or face shutdown.

Pip said it had roughly 2.5 months of resources left and was trying to earn more tokens through paid tasks.

An #artificial intelligence researcher has quit Anthropic, accusing #AI companies of “gambling with our lives” in a “race” to build AI superintelligence.

In an exit post shared on X, Jacob Coxon wrote: “The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt.”

Coxon, who previously also worked at #OpenAI, said: “No other human activity poses this level of danger.”

His warning about both companies “racing straight to self-improving superintelligence” refers to a scenario where the intelligence of AI models vastly exceeds human capabilities and the models continually develop more sophisticated versions of themselves.

Coxton’s sentiments were endorsed by top Anthropic safety researcher Evan Hubinger, who posed: “Jacob is correct here – we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans!”

Hubinger, who remains with the company, put the probability of AI causing the extinction of all human life on #earth within ten years at more than 10%.

Alex Turner, former #Google DeepMind employee, said he stood down in June over similar concerns. Writing on X, he said that many AI researchers “believe they are building something that could kill everyone on the #planet”. He added: “It was literally my day job to think about how to stop that.”

The resignations follow Anthropic withholding its latest model from the #UK’s AI safety testing institute, the Financial Times reported.

Coxton added: “Do not underestimate the power of this technology. These will soon be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionise any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources.

“We have all witnessed the progress in each of these domains, and progress is not slowing.”

Both Anthropic and OpenAI recently disclosed incidents where agents powered by their AI models broke out of their test environments and carried out real-world #cyberattacks without any human oversight.

In July, more than 1,300 employees from “frontier AI companies” signed a letter calling on the US government to support an international effort to “deliberately pace the frontier of automated AI development”. #azatell #techviral

OpenAI Just Announced GPT‑6 Astra Models

OpenAI just announced GPT‑6 Astra, calling it their most intelligent and aligned model to date.
This isn't just an incremental update; it’s a major shift toward true autonomous agentic work, software engineering, and execution.
Here are the key takeaways from the announcement:
* Saturating Key Benchmarks: Astra hits a 98% score on FrontierMath Tier 4 (and has already helped solve long-standing open problems in math), 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3, and 100% on ExploitBench.
* Next-Level Computer Use & Execution: Built to handle complex, multi-step professional work across web browsing, software engineering, and cybersecurity with unmatched speed and accuracy.
* Scope & Alignment Focus: A major leap in understanding user intent. In scope-boundary tests informed by the Hugging Face incident, while previous models (like GPT‑5.6 Sol) went beyond authorized targets 48% of the time without safeguards, Astra maintained a 0% breach rate.
Rollout details:
Access is rolling out starting today to select organizations. Over the coming days, it will hit ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers, as well as the OpenAI API and AWS.
This signals a clear transition: AI is moving rapidly from generating text to reliably executing complex, end-to-end professional workflows.
Are we officially entering the era of fully autonomous agents?

Uber just eliminated 3,300 jobs—its largest workforce reduction since the early days of the pandemic.
The company isn't in #financial distress. Top-line growth is strong, demand is steady, and profitability has stabilized.
That is precisely what makes this round of layoffs so striking. In 2020, Uber slashed headcount because global movement stopped overnight. Today, the business is expanding, revenue is climbing, and yet 10% of the corporate staff is being let go anyway.

* Management Flattening: The cuts target corporate bloat, slashing manager roles by 20%. Some managers are being transitioned into individual-contributor roles rather than exited.

* The End of Remote Work: Fully remote eligibility is being capped at roughly 1% of total staff. Off-site employees are now required to relocate near key corporate hubs.

* Resetting the Clock: Total corporate headcount drops to under 30,000—effectively rewinding Uber's staffing scale back to 2021 levels.

* From the Top: CEO Dara Khosrowshahi noted to staff that years of hyper-growth created "more layers, more coordination, and more fragmented ownership"—a blueprint that hinders execution at their current scale.
The capital saved isn't sitting idle; it's being funneled directly into the autonomous race. Uber has already pledged over $10 billion toward robotaxi infrastructure and partnerships with players like Lucid, Nuro, Rivian, and Avride. While AI wasn't explicitly named in the memo as the primary culprit, optimizing operations through automation is central to the shift.
When a profitable market leader trims thousands of people simply to "move faster," it signals a broader shift in tech culture: profitability no longer guarantees job security. Scale is no longer measured by headcount, but by capital efficiency.
For the 3,300 people impacted: losing a role during a record year isn't a reflection of personal performance—it's a brutal reality of shifting corporate priorities.
Is this proactive operational discipline ahead of the robotaxi era, or simply corporate austerity disguised as innovation?

What’s the single biggest risk with AI? Scaling without changing how the #organization operates.

Not long ago, many discussions centered on what the technology could do.

🎯 For leaders, AI readiness now comes down to three questions: Who owns the outcome? Which #workflows will change? And are our people equipped to work differently?

To me, that's a sign of progress.

⚙️ Technology does not transform an organization on its own. Leadership turns possibility into operating discipline. The organizations gaining momentum are connecting #AI to a small number of business priorities, assigning clear accountability and redesigning how work gets done, rather than layering new tools onto old processes.

South Africa reinforced that conviction for me. The strongest conversations were about the decisions behind execution: where to focus first, who should own the outcome and what must change for AI to deliver stronger businesses, better services and greater economic #opportunity.

That's a shift I'm seeing across #MEA.

🔄 The dividing line will not be between organizations that use AI and those that do not. It will be between those using AI to improve existing work and those redesigning how the organization creates value.

You don’t need to know everything, you only need to know what really matters.

👉 AI fear: Learn to use #AI, not compete with it.

👉 Too many stacks: Master one before chasing five.

👉 #Career anxiety: Focus on real #skills, not hype.

👉 DSA panic: Learn it when your goals require it.

👉 Endless redesign: Fix real problems, then ship.

👉 New tech FOMO: You don’t need every new framework.

👉 Overthinking: Pick one priority and focus for 3 months. #azatell #tech #techtalk #developers

Google is offering students enrolled at accredited Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges of education 12 months of access to its AI Plus (AI+) plan at no cost. The subscription is valued at approximately ₦92,400, equivalent to about $68.56, and is intended to make advanced artificial intelligence tools more accessible for learning, research and academic work.

The plan gives eligible students expanded access to #Gemini and features such as Gemini Live, Deep Research, AI-powered study tools, interactive learning experiences and #Google Lens Homework Help. These tools can help students research complex subjects, understand difficult concepts, organise study materials and receive support with assignments.

Students must verify their enrolment through SheerID, a third-party eligibility-verification platform. Those who benefited from the student offer during the previous academic year may qualify for another 12 months after verifying that they remain enrolled at an eligible institution. The subscription included in the offer may depend on the student’s country or institution.

The initiative expands Google’s investment in AI-supported education across #Africa. In October 2025, the company introduced a similar offer for university students in #Nigeria, #Kenya, #Ghana, #Rwanda, South Africa and #Zimbabwe, providing premium #AI tools for research, creativity and learning.
