NDLEA Intercepts Colos From UK, Finds Drugs Hidden In Speakers In Lagos

Nigeria Anti-Narcotics Agency Intercepts Synthetic #Cannabis From UK, Finds Drugs Hidden In Speakers In Lagos

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (#NDLEA) have intercepted two shipments of synthetic cannabis, popularly known as #Colorado or Colos, concealed in consolidated cargoes from the United Kingdom.

“Colos” is #Nigerian street slang for Colorado, a form of synthetic cannabis.

The agency also recovered two other consignments of #Colorado hidden inside music speakers at two motor parks in Lagos, with at least seven suspects arrested in connection with the seizures.

The #NDLEA disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by its Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.

At the import shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (#MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, NDLEA operatives intercepted a UK-bound consignment containing 27 parcels of Colorado weighing 32.20kg.

According to the agency, a real estate agent, Abideen Jide Salami, was arrested on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, after he arrived to collect a large luggage containing the illicit substance using a secret collection code reportedly relayed by his brother based in the #UK.

In a follow-up operation linked to another shipment from the UK, NDLEA operatives traced and arrested the designated recipient of a second consignment containing 12.25kg of Colorado.

The suspect, 44-year-old Nurudeen Abiodun Kadiri, reportedly told operatives that the consignment had been sent to him by his brother in the UK.

Meanwhile, operatives of the agency’s Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) intercepted a music speaker containing three packs of Colorado at a motor park in Maza Maza, #Lagos. #azatellnews #viral #latestnews

“My guy cancelled his girlfriend's flight to Canada one hour before departure, right there at MMIA Airport.

I've been offline since, bcoz I had to drop my guy off at the MMIA airport today.

Bro had worked more than two jobs for three years to save for his relocation and had bought two economy tickets because he planned to take her with him, they've been dating for 5 years.

Then she looked at the tickets and said....

"Economy? After all the money you've saved?

How am I supposed to post us leaving in economy? It looks cheap, how can I post that on snap, I don really make mouth o"

He didn't argue...this guy stepped aside, opened the airline app and cancelled her booking.

I thought he was joking...

She thought he was joking too until the cancellation email hit her phone.

"What did you do?!"

He picked up his luggage and said

"You're right...You deserve business class and I can't afford it, so I'm going alone…” - A #Nigerian man reportedly cancelled his girlfriend’s flight to #Canada shortly before departure after she complained about the economy-class ticket he had booked for her. #latestnews #nigerianews #azatellnews #viral

#UBA announced Nnorom’s welcome in a post on its social media platforms on Wednesday, describing him as a seasoned business leader and chartered accountant with more than four decades of experience.

Nnorom officially assumed the position on August 21, 2026, succeeding Elumelu, who retired after completing the maximum tenure permitted for non-executive directors under Central Bank of Nigeria corporate governance guidelines.

"Their dad had both kidneys fail and no one could fund their education"- #Nigerian man shares heartbreaking story of two high-flying students

#CEO of Educare Alex Onyia has shared an heartbreaking story of two high flying students who attended his two weeks intensive #Bootcamp at Enugu.

In his words:
"I was heartbroken to learn about these students today.

Their dad had both kidneys fail and no one could fund their education. They were forced to drop out of school in December last year.

Their names are Emmanuella Ngaha and Jason Ngaha. They came by themselves from Owerri to Enugu this morning to attend our 2-week intensive bootcamp.

They were both high-flying students at Ambassador College, Ota. The boy was the best in Maths and Chemistry in SS1, and the girl has won so many national awards.

Today they are out of school with no hope of continuing.

They decided to use their last ₦24,000 to take a bus to Enugu to attend the bootcamp.

Unfortunately, this morning they were defrauded of the ₦24,000, which left them with no option but to beg for transport support until someone helped them.

A lot of young, bright children are going through a lot that is beyond their control.

We can’t let these bright stars lose their shine because of challenges beyond their control".

🚗 Stop paying unnecessary bribes to FRSC!
Knowing your rights and the official #FRSC fines is the best way to protect your wallet and stay safe on #Nigerian roads.
Here is a quick breakdown of common traffic offences and their actual legal penalties (I gently updated the speed-limiting device fine to reflect the official FRSC rate of ₦3,000) 👇

Use of phone while driving: ₦4,000
Child sitting position violation: ₦3,000
Right-hand steering vehicle: ₦3,000 (and forfeiture of the vehicle)
Worn-out tyres: ₦3,000
Fire extinguisher violation: ₦3,000
Road obstruction: ₦3,000
Vehicle licence violation: ₦3,000
Vehicle mirror violation: ₦3,000
Vehicle number plate violation: ₦3,000
Wrongful overtaking: ₦3,000
No speed limiting device: ₦3,000
Seat belt violation: ₦2,000
Light/sign violation: ₦2,000
Underage driving/riding: ₦2,000
Use of siren violation: ₦2,000

💡 Quick check: Always inspect your vehicle registration, driver's licence, fire extinguisher, and tyres before leaving the house.
If you are ever flagged down for a violation, insist on a ticket. Paying the official fine into the government account is almost always cheaper than giving money to corrupt officers!
Share this with your people so they don't get extorted on the road! 🚨

Man Died Two Years After Inherit Father's Hotel - A Must Read Story

“His father d!ed two years ago. He took over the big #hotel owned and managed by his father and mother. He started f0rcefully sleeping with the female #workers.

Anyone who refuses to sleep with him is either sent away or her salaries would be delayed for up to three, four or more months. Some left four or more months salaries behind while leaving. His mother complained about this and he f0rc&fully stopped her from coming to the hotel.

His siblings were all afraid of him because of his involvement in c¥lt activities which led to his rustication at two hundred level in the university.

Because of my #relationship with his late father, his mother begged me to talk to him and I did but I noticed that despite how diplomatic I was, he still got offended and stormed out of the venue.

Well, he attempted to sleep with a mature widow who has worked as his father's hotel cleaner for 11 years, but the woman chose to resign than do that. A boy that is the age of her second son.

Long story short, on Thursday night last week, some young boys came to the front of the hotel at 11pm and started making a noise. He angrily came out to know who they were and why the noise. He was immediately h@ck&d to d&ath. People who live upstairs in the surrounding buildings in the area said that those boys used battle @xe to shred his body like the way Izzi people share goat meat a day after giving their daughter out in marriage. They also heard the boys saying he should get up and sleep with #women again nau. One was even heard saying that he made sure his penis was severed in case he comes back in his next life make e no see wetin e go take sleep with women.
He's gone o! Just like that. l've called his mother for condolences and for her to prepare to start running their hotel again, including recalling the former workers including those who left their salaries and pay them to resume work, because they have buri&d him.

He took over the hotel at 28 and died at 30. Uwa ntoor…” - A #Nigerian man has shared a disturbing account of a young man who allegedly took over his late father’s hotel and was later k!||ed at the age of 30.
