Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's operational and financial objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to achieve the best value for the organization.
- Establish procurement budgets and monitor spending to ensure cost efficiency.
- Source quality materials, equipment, and services required for farm and business operations.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and pricing structures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, invoices, and supplier information.
- Coordinate with production, finance, warehouse, and operational teams to forecast procurement needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and develop procurement plans to avoid stock shortages.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide management with insights on purchasing activities and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor negotiations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and procurement management tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
